New trail samples!

Here is a preview of some of the new trail samples that will be included in the next release of Spline Trail Renderer!

Spline Trail Renderer is used to complement the default Trail Renderer of Unity. It renders much smoother curves and it gives more control over the fading speed, orientation to camera, etc.

Trails can support any material, so they can have scrolling textures, bump mapping, procedural animations, and more. Samples demonstrating those techniques will be included in the next release.

New web demo available!

A web demo is now available, with brand new assets, and a smooth continuous trail to show the capabilities of the Spline trail renderer!


Current features:
  • Draw on the screen
  • Render a trail behind a moving object
  • Draw on a surface (floor, wall)
  • Make an object follow the path

Upcoming features:
  • A set of trail samples usable out of the box in any application

This demo and assets will be included in the next release of the package.

Spline Trail Renderer v1.0.0 released

The first version of Spline Trail Renderer is now available on the Unity Asset Store! A thread on the Unity forums has been added so you can ask questions on the tool, give feedback, and suggest new features or improvements. For any questions or comments you can also send an email.
